Junk journals are intriguing, textural books. The benefits include, but are not limited to: nourishing creativity, stress management, and best of all- recycling and repurposing!!!

In my opinion, there are two different ways to enjoy junk journaling:

making a junk journal

Basically, make a book out of miscellaneous “junk”. Old magazine & book pages, junk mail, scraps of paper, fabric, lace, wallpaper, file folders, doilies, you name it. The options are really endless!

using a junk journal

Fill the pages using any journaling method you prefer. Junk journals are great for decorating with pictures, collage, ticket stubs, and other bits of odds and ends that add an entirely new layer of texture and interest.

The end result is engaging to flip through, not just for what you’ve added but also for the varying textures in the pages themselves.
